Soroptimist International of Novato Announces Awards Supporting Women and Girls

Novato, California — Soroptimist International of Novato is proud to announce that nominations are now open for two inspiring awards: the Violet Richardson Award and the Live Your Dream Award, both dedicated to recognizing and supporting women and girls who are making a difference in their communities.

💜 Violet Richardson Award

Recognizing young women who make their communities a better place
Do you know a young woman (ages 14–18) who’s passionate about community service and helping others? Encourage her to apply for the Violet Richardson Award!
This award honors young women who turn compassion and determination into action—whether by volunteering, leading a project, or improving a situation that affects others, especially women and girls.
🏆 The winner will receive up to $1,000, and part of the award may also go to the organization where she volunteers.
Eligibility:
• Lives, works, or goes to school in Novato
• Actively involved in volunteer or community service

🌟 Live Your Dream Award

Empowering women to achieve their goals through education and training
Do you know a woman who is the main financial supporter of her family and is working to improve her life through education or job training? Encourage her to apply for the Live Your Dream Award!
This award provides cash grants to help with tuition, books, childcare, or transportation—giving women the support they need to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
🏆 Local winners may become eligible for regional and international awards worth thousands of dollars.
Eligibility:
• Provides the main financial support for her family
• Enrolled in or accepted to a college, university, or vocational training program
• Lives in Marin County
