The artful balance of life and real estate
CPA Ron Moss, Novato Realtor Jim Maloney, and Financial Planner Kathleen Nemetz host a mix, mingle and learn event on the topic of managing the financial and tax aspects of transitions with real estate. Come early to sip, sup and schmooze with fellow professionals while viewing the wonderful art hung at this premier workshop and gallery. The talk will begin one half hour later, at 6 p.m., and will cover: --capital gains planning; --transmutation of property, from separate to community, or primary residential to rental and back again, and tax considerations; --property tax basis and transfers; --right sizing your housing choices, no matter your age; --keeping a home in the midst of life transitions, like retirement, death of a spouse, or divorce. Credit and liquidity ratios will be addressed. Artists exhibiting at the gallery will be available to discuss their work. The painting in the invitation is 'White Clouds," by Sue Lassetter.
