Name: Novato Green Film Series - The Need to GROW
Date: February 20, 2020
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM PST
Event Description:
Join the City of Novato's Sustainability Program on February 20 at 6:30pm for a free screening of The Need to GROW. With an estimated 60 years of farmable soil left on Earth, The Need To GROW offers an intimate look into the hearts and minds of activists and innovators in the food movement - an 8-year old girl challenges the ethics of a beloved organization - a renegade farmer struggles to keep his land as he revolutionizes resource efficient agriculture - and an accomplished visionary inventor faces catastrophe in the midst of developing a game-changing soil regeneration technology. The Need to GROW delivers alarming evidence on the importance of healthy soil — revealing not only the potential of localized food production working with nature, but our opportunity as individuals to help regenerate our planet’s dying soils and participate in the restoration of the Earth. This event is being presented in partnership with Sustainable Novato and Indian Valley Organic Farm & Garden. The screening is free to attend but there are a limited number of seats available. Pre-registration is recommended at https://needtogrow.eventbrite.com Doors open at 6:00 and the screening will start at 6:30pm. We hope to see you there!
