Chef Rebecca Katz entwines great taste and healthy eating in a chef's demonstration and dinner at Fresh Starts Chef Events.
The Marin resident and award-winning cookbook author will feature recipes developed for such top sellers as "The Cancer-Fighting Kitchen," which won two awards from the prestigious International Association of Culinary Professionals in 2010. Her menu:
Bella’s Carrot, Orange & Fennel Soup with Cashew Cream | Walnut, Date & Herb Salad | Roasted Chicken Thighs with Meyer Lemon Confit, Herb Drizzle & Celery Root Mash | Insanely Good Chocolate Brownies
As founder and director of the Healing Kitchens Institute at Commonweal, the health and environmental research institute in Bolinas, Chef Rebecca became a well-known wellness expert. She now leads a company called Healing Kitchens dedicated to promoting wholesome food.
We'll have cookbooks on hand for purchase -- get a special autograph from the chef!
