The Novato Chamber of Commerce, Redwood Credit Union and the RMJ Foundation are sponsoring a ‘Bite of Reality’. This financial literacy program allows high school students to simulate a career, an income, a family and then make choices on how to spend their money.
The event is Friday, April 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the San Marin High School Gymnasium and we need a total of 32 volunteers. No experience necessary, you will be helping students as they progress through 8 ‘life stations’ like housing, transportation, day care, etc.
Volunteer orientation begins at 8:30 a.m. and you will be done by 11:30 a.m. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Robert Friedman at: rfriedman@redwoodcu.org or call him at: 415-845-8328.
