2016 Breast Fest: Beer Festival
This year’s annual Breastfest organizers are thrilled to welcome some of the best known brewers next month for the 16th anniversary of the event. Thirty-two of the biggest names in craft beer are headed to San Rafael, California on July 16th to help raise money for The Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic that helps low-income women battling cancer.
The one-day extravaganza will unite many of America’s favorite craft brewers in support of the cause, including the Russian River Brewing Company, Bear Republic Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Stone Brewing and local legends Marin Brewing and Moylan’s.
This year’s fundraiser will kick off with a VIP hour. For an additional donation, guests will be able to sample an exclusive array of rare and cellared beers from more than a half dozen brewers. These beers will only be available during the VIP hour. Those contributing include: Social Kitchen, High Water Brewing, Berryessa Brewing, Faction Brewing, Rare Barrel, Cellarmaker, Moylan's, Lost Coast, Marin Brewing and more are expected.
Along with the beer, the event will include an all-you-can-eat barbecue, Three Twins Ice Cream and live music from Bay Area favorites, Kingsborough. The band has created a huge following with their modern twist on authentic American rock.
The event will take place at Fairground Island at the Marin Center in San Rafael, a beautiful location that offers an outdoor setting, plenty of free parking and easy freeway access. The Fairgrounds are just minutes from Golden Gate Transit Lines, and a short Lyft ride from the ferry terminal in Larkspur. As a part of the Breastfest celebration, Lyft will offer discounted rides to festival attendees
