1st Annual Women of Wonder Walk-a-Thon

Deer Park Retirement Community's 1st annual Women of Wonder (WOW) Walk-a-Thon honoring females that have pushed the envelope with amazing accomplishments. This Walk-a-Thon provides our community an opportunity to come together, walk, have fun, and raise money for the Novato Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). AAUW has been empowering women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research since 1981. (For more information on AAUW visit their website at: Http://www.novatoaauw.org.)
Join us on Sat. April 30th for this wonderful event, and please wear pink to celebrate these amazing women! The Walk-a-Thon will have multiple courses so participants can easily choose the distance in which they plan to walk as well as whether they want to walk indoors or outdoors. 
Women of Wonder Walk-a-Thon Event Details:
Who: Deer Park Retirement Community, 646 Canyon Rd, Novato
What: Women of Wonder Walk-a-Thon with a silent Auction, luncheon and tea with AAUW members.  Silent Auction items are from Suka Yoga; Marin Integrative Wellness Center; Trader Joes; Anytime Fitness; Local Artwork; Heavenly Joy Acupuncture; and the Armstrong Garden Center
When: Sat. April 30, 2016, 9-4:00 p.m.
- 9 AM Walk-a-Thon starts
- 10 AM Silent Auction
-2 PM Tea with members of Novato Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) who will talk about their work with location organization Girls, Inc.
